Bridge to be Dedicated for Fallen Marine

WHAT: Rep. Jesse Topper (R-Bedford/Fulton), local dignitaries and family members of U.S. Marine Pvt. Charles O. Snyder will gather to dedicate a bridge in Snyder’s honor. Snyder, a native of Monroe Township, was killed in Vietnam on March 28, 1969, during the Vietnam War. He was 19 years old.

During the ceremony, a bridge on West Mattie Road over Shaffer Creek in East Providence Township will be dedicated as the PFC Charles O. Snyder Memorial Bridge.

WHEN: Tuesday, July 7, at 10 a.m.

WHERE: The ceremony will be held at Steven’s Chapel UMC, 5084 Robinsonville Road, Breezewood.
