Topper to Dedicate Bridge to Korean War POW

WHAT: Rep. Jesse Topper (R-Bedford/Franklin/Fulton) will hold a ceremony to dedicate the Churchview Road bridge over Beaver Creek in South Woodbury Township as the PFC/POW William G. Koontz Memorial Bridge. Koontz spent 838 days as a prisoner of war during the Korean War.

WHO: Members of the Koontz family and representatives from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will join Topper.

WHEN: Friday, Aug. 17, at 11 a.m.

WHERE: The Churchview Road bridge over Beaver Creek in South Woodbury Township. Parking is available at the Koontz Church of the Brethren, 4764 Churchview Road
