House Transportation Committee to Hold Hearing on Harrisburg-Pittsburgh Passenger Train Service

WHAT:           The House Transportation Committee will hold a public hearing on maintaining Amtrak passenger train service in the Harrisburg-Pittsburgh corridor.

WHO:             Rep. Dick Hess (R-Bedford/Fulton/Huntingdon), majority chairman; committee members; Rep. Mike Fleck (R-Blair/Huntingdon/Mifflin); Rep. Kerry Benninghoff (R-Centre/Mifflin); Toby Fauver, deputy secretary for local and area transportation, PennDOT; Ken Josephs, secretary, Western Pennsylvanians for Passenger Rail; Donald Dunleavy, state legislative director, United Transportation Union; and John Dawson, intercity rail chairman, Delaware Valley Association of Rail Passengers.
